While I was off adventuring this summer, the folks at DeMenil finished construction. I don’t know how they managed it without me, but I gotta say it looks really good.
I heard Campbell House was burglarized, so I’m back as head of security. My gnomey shorts are in a bunch over this. If you want in, you gotta get by me.

at the St. Louis Science Center
I went to the Saint Louis Science Center and you know what? It turns out LOTS of things are MUCH MUCH smaller than me. It’s amazing. So no more cracks about my gnomish stature, OK?
As the sun sets and another day on the St. Louis levee draws to a close, I think back on my exciting day at the Gateway Arch and reflect on all of the things I’ve learned and people I’ve met. And now, lulled to sleep by my own prose, I’m gonna get some shut-eye. Or the open-eyed gnome equivalent. Whatever.
This kind (but still very professional) ranger showed me all of the sights from the top of the Arch. How long have I been standing around in St. Louis and I’ve never done this before? Unbelievable.
